Concluding and Implementing Land and Resources and Self-Government Agreements

Annual Reporting

The establishment of Implementation Committees (IC) comprised of senior representatives from each of the Parties to the land claim and/or self-government agreement has been a key component to monitoring and advancing implementation activities in a tripartite manner. Parties include the Governments of the Northwest Territories, Canada and the Indigenous Government. Implementation committees monitor the ongoing obligations of the Parties and support the resolution of issues that may arise with respect to the implementation of the claims.
