  • Inuvik (106 Veteran’s Way), and
  • Yellowknife (5015 – 49th Street).

How can my input make a difference?

The GNWT is requesting the NWT Honours Advisory Council recommends a name for each office building based on the review and assessment of all entries received by the nomination deadline.

Where can I find related information?

When naming a GNWT-owned office building, consideration will be given to whether the proposed name reflects the historical, cultural, and geographic significance of the NWT. Buildings may also be named in honour of deceased persons who have made significant contributions to public life and the well-being of territorial residents.

Full guidelines for the naming of GNWT-owned office buildings can be found in Appendix 4.7 of the Executive Council Submissions Handbook.

Where can I find results?

The new names for each office building will be announced once the Executive Council approves the recommendations of the NWT Honours Advisory Council.
