In reference to the May 30, 2021, notice, this is a reminder that this half-masting is still in effect.  The territorial flag on all Government of the Northwest Territories’ (GNWT) buildings in the Northwest Territories is to be flown at half-mast until further notice.

Half-Masting – Discovery of remains at the Kamloops Indian Residential School

Flags of the Northwest Territories on all Government of the Northwest Territories’ buildings will be flown at half-mast immediately until further notice, following the discovery of remains of 215 children at the Kamloops Indian Residential School in memory of the thousands of children who were sent to residential schools, for those who never returned, and in honour of the families whose lives were forever changed.
