Through the Department of Aboriginal Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations, the Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) maintains relationships with other levels of government, including Aboriginal, federal, provincial, and territorial governments and circumpolar countries, around matters of intergovernmental significance.

• Support the Premier's participation in Intergovernmental forums
• Support the GNWT's participation in the Arctic Council
