The flag of the Northwest Territories on all Government of the Northwest Territories buildings in Yellowknife and Lutselk’e will be flown at half mast effective immediately until sunset, Wednesday, October 5 to honour the memory of the fatalities caused by the Air Tindi Crash near the community of Lutselk’e. The flags will return at half-mast from sunrise to sunset on the day (date to be announced) of the memorial service.

The flag of the Northwest Territories on all Government of the Northwest Territories buildings in Yellowknife will be flown at half mast effective immediately until sunset, Sunday, September 25 to honour the memory of the two fatalities caused by the Arctic Sunwest Crash. A second notice will be sent to half-mast all the NWT flags in Yellowknife for the day of the memorial service (date to be announced).

Death of the Honourable Jack Layton and crash of First Air Flight 6560
The flag of the Northwest Territories will continue to be flown at half mast to honour the memory of the late Honourable Jack Layton as well as the passengers and crew of First Air Flight 6560, which crashed near Resolute Bay, Nunavut. The half-masting will continue until sunset on the day of the late Honourable Jack Layton's funeral: August 27, 2011.
