The Department of Executive and Indigenous Affairs protects and advances the political, economic, environmental, social and cultural interests of the people of the Northwest Territories by pursuing and fostering relationships with varying levels of government around shared matters of significance.

2021 Federal election

On September 2nd 2021 Premier Caroline Cochrane wrote to federal party leaders on behalf of the people of the Northwest Territories to seek their party’s views on how the Government of Canada should work with, promote and support the people, governments, economic sectors and environment of the NWT.
